Information We Collect

ArriveMinder collects data to provide location-based functionality and to improve app performance through analytics.

1. Location Data

• The app uses your device's location to create and monitor geofences.
• Location data is processed only on your device.
• No location data is sent to any server or shared with third parties.
• Background location permission is used solely for triggering reminders when the app is not open.

2. Reminder Data

• All reminders, locations, and settings are stored locally using the device's internal storage.
• No personal information, email, phone number, or identity data is collected.

3. Usage & Device Data (Analytics)

• We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how users interact with our app.
• Device Information: We collect device model, OS version, and unique device identifiers to generate anonymous usage statistics.
• App Activity: We track which screens are viewed and how features (like creating a reminder) are used.
• Location: We collect approximate location (City/Country level) derived from IP addresses for analytics purposes only.

Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following third-party services which may collect information used to identify your device:

• Google Analytics for Firebase: To analyze app usage and user engagement.
• Google Play Services: For location and map functionality.

Permissions We Use and Why

• ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION: Required to detect exact or approximate location.
• ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION: Needed for geofencing when the app is closed.
• INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required for Maps and Places search.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Needed for delivering reminders (Android 13+).
• SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM: Required for snooze and timer accuracy (Android 12+).
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: Restores geofences after device restart.
• REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS: Ensures reminders work reliably in the background.

We strictly use these permissions only for their intended purpose.

How We Use Your Data

• To trigger reminders when you arrive at selected locations.
• To display maps and allow you to search for places.
• To sort reminders based on distance.
• To analyze app usage trends and improve user experience.
• To identify and fix technical issues (bugs and crashes).

We do not:

• Track your movements
• Sell any data
• Share any data with advertisers

Data Storage & Security

• Reminder Data: All your reminders, locations, and notes are stored locally on your device.
• No Backend: We do not have a backend server for storing your personal content.
• Security: Your personal data never leaves your phone (except for anonymous analytics described above).
• Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all stored data.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data to advertisers. However, we share anonymous usage data with our service provider, Google (Firebase), to help us analyze how the app is used and to improve its stability. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

Children's Privacy

ArriveMinder does not collect personal data from children. The app is safe for all ages.

Data Retention

Data remains on your device as long as the app is installed. Uninstalling the app deletes all stored data from the device.

Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be published within the Play Store listing or app updates.
